About Custom Audio & Lighting Installations.

Custom Audio has been supplying professional audio and lighting equipment since 1991.

Operating from premises in Mayfield East, we design, sell, repair & service most brands of sound and lighting equipment.

 

As well, we have an up to date mobile service division carrying out installations and service seven days a week if required. At the helm is Colin Rothapfel, who has been operating various professional sound and lighting businesses since 1974.

 

Colin commenced Your Move Lighting in 1974 with the view of supplying quality sound and lighting solutions for sale or hire to the local area pubs and clubs etc. While working out of a shop front in Beaumont Street Hamilton ,we sold and hired lighting equipment to the entertainment industry as well as doing light shows in venues every where.

 

Before long we added professional audio & then video production to our portfolio. On realizing we had out grown Hamilton we then moved to bigger premises in Mayfield till 1984.

 

Then the video production was sold off and the audio/ lighting division wound down. This was to allow me to pursue a new career in professional video production. This career move lasted till 1991, when I thought it was time to return to the sound and lighting industry.

 

Thus Custom Audio was born from then to the present time, with one thing in mind To give all customers quality service at a decent and fair price. At present we operate with a small staff of four people comprising admin, sales & installation /service. This way we generally know all our customers by first name.
